Small Group Policy
Welcome to Alaia Mentawai, a boutique surf resort that offers the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. Our main bungalow has twin queen or king beds, while the loft rooms have a single queen bed in each room. We understand that privacy is important, which is why we offer exclusive usage of the entire resort for groups of 8-10 people. (Can be maximum up to 12 people upon request) Our location provides a private and peaceful environment to ensure that each guest has their own personal space.

Our Speed BoaTS
Alaia’s newest addition to our fleet of boats is a custom 30foot Fiberglass center console fitted with 2 x 200hp Suzuki engines and all the comforts for a day out chasing waves in style.
This boat has improved comfort levels and travel times from wave to wave, it also can serve as a great way to island hop or enjoy fishing trips.
We also have 2 traditional Mentawai timber longboat’s fitted with 2 x 60hp Suzuki engines.
As much as we love the Traditional timber boats we needed a solution to move away from the unsustainable practise of using timber for our surf boats.
We have also moved away from the old 2 stroke engines to all Fourstroke engines , it’s a step in the right direction to help offset our footprint in these beautiful waters, these new engines are quieter, have seriously less emissions and zero smoke as well as been more economical.
