When you book with eight or more guests, Alaia becomes your own private surf retreat.
With four villas and two loft rooms, the resort comfortably hosts up to ten guests (maximum twelve).
Groups of nine or more enjoy discounted rates, making it ideal for surf trips, families, or special celebrations — a peaceful private home in the Mentawai.
At Alaia Mentawai, we host family groups and surf-focused adult groups separately.
This ensures every trip maintains the right atmosphere, flow, and comfort for all guests.
How to Get Here
A journey worth taking — from Padang to paradise.
To reach Alaia, guests first travel to Padang, West Sumatra — the gateway to the Mentawai Islands.
From there, we’ll arrange your transfer to the resort by private speedboat, a scenic 3.5-hour journey across the Mentawai Strait.
A ferry option is also available for those who prefer a slower pace.
Our team coordinates every detail — from airport pickup in Padang to your arrival at Alaia —
