Shots on 35mm film camera from paradise.
I love taking photos. Especially with my old film cameras. Nothing special, just random stuff mostly.
Recently I got Canon Sure shot- A1 ( Or WP-1, Japan: Autoboy D5, Europe: Prima AS-1) It's red and off white color plastic body cute camera that supposed be waterproof (says on Canon website, its waterproof up to 5m).
Full Auto-foucus, The world's lightest and smallerst waterproof camera when it was launched in 1994. It looks like a toy camera. But it has 32mm F3.5, 6 element lens. You can bring on the boat, in the pool or ocean with you. ( You can bring it in the water, only if the o-ring is still in good condition!)
Since it is full auto-focus camera, you don't have much control.
Look into the camera finder, and click. That's it.
I have only used for 2 rolls of film so far then back door latch broken... yes, because its 30 years old plastic camera and it has really poor design latch.
Luckily I found someone is selling 3d print latches on ebay! I'm waiting for the parts to arrive.
These shots are from the 2 rolls. I took shots with Fuji 200C and Kodak Ultramax 400.
With any type of Film Cameras, You can not see what you are taking until you receive the developed images. It is maybe inconvenient but I really recommend everyone to bring a film camera to travel with you.
Once you get home, you need to bring or send the roll to the lab.
And you need to wait again until the lab send back with the scanned images to your email.
By the time you receive the email from Lab, probably you are having a big Mentawai withdrawals. Definitely those grained film photos bring you back some good memories and give you some smiles.
Lovely set!
